Join us for UW Madison’s first IT Support Symposium
This is a chance for IT support staff from all parts of campus to meet, share ideas, and learn from each other.
- April 16, 2025, from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Memorial Union
Born from conversations about keeping great talent and sharing knowledge among IT peers, this event is designed for those who want to:
- Meet other IT support staff using the same tools and facing similar challenges
- Share what works (and what doesn’t)
- Build relationships that make our jobs easier
- Engage in real conversations with people who get what you do
Why now? The idea behind this event evolved from a session with MOR Associates about the importance of creating positive, collaborative relationships, which helps reduce turnover and maintain operational knowledge through change. In today’s fast-paced tech landscape, the key to attracting and retaining top talent lies in building robust collaborative networks across the institution.
In IT Support, with our passion and dedication to problem-solving, we often find ourselves heads down in a problem. It can feel like we’re the only ones who’ve ever faced this issue, missing that all around us, people are using the same tools and working with the same software and services. Just because we’re great at solving problems doesn’t mean we have to do it alone! Our vision is to gather IT Support staff and those who run services that interface with support at the heart of campus, the Memorial Union, for a morning of conversations, connection, and community.
Registration opens February 16, 2025.
